Important ingredients to make Pilau:

  • 3 cup hot water
  • 500G cubed beef
  • Little ginger crushed
  • 1-3 Garlic cloves crushed
  • 2 cup rice
  • 1 large onion
  • 2-3 tablespoon ground Pilau masala
  • 5 large tomatoes diced or blended. You can use 400G tomato paste as well
  • Salt as per your taste
  • Cooking oil 2-3 tablespoons

How to make pilau

Now it’s time to tell you How to make pilau.

  • Take a Pan and heat the oil and then onion and ginger. Leave it for cooking on medium heat until color or onion become brown.
  • Put the meat in the pan and mix it and leave it on medium heat for 3-5 minutes. After that check the softness of meat. If it is soft then fine else cook it more so that it become soft.
  • Now add salt and pilau masala and stir it non stop so that it mixes well with all in pan. If meat stick with pan, then you need to add little water in the pan and mix it well.
  • Now its time to add the tomato paste while stirring. Now you will have to add 2-3 tea spoons of water and cover the pan for proper boiling. Boil it until it become like thick sauce.
  • Now its time to add the washed rice in the pan and mix it well. Now add 3 cups of water and cover the pan and boil it for 5-7 minutes.
  • After 5-7 minutes reduce the flame of heat and allow the rice to boil while covered.
  • After 5 minutes stir the rice and cover it again. You need to stir the rice 2-3 times so that it gets mixed well and not stick to pan and get cooked well.
  • Cook the rice until all water is soaked and after that off the heat supply.

Now your dish is ready and you can serve it to your family and friends.
