Even after the tint has cured, you will need to ensure that you have the right cleaning products to clean the windows. These films are sensitive to the majority of ammonia-based cleaners, as they can cause discolouration and deterioration of even brand-new tint films. Use a simple mixture of soap and water, as well as microfibre clothes, to clean your tinted windows. Avoid using abrasive pads or paper towels, as these can cause scratches, which can lead to peeling or damage to the consistency of the tint.

Seat belt buckles, jewellery, or even pets can leave permanent marks on the surface! To prevent any accidental damage to your new window tints, try to guide seatbelts back rather than letting them snap against the window, and if you have a car that often transports pets, try to use protective barriers. During the first few days after the tint has been applied to your car windows, the adhesive has to fully bond to the glass. Rolling down the windows prematurely may cause the edges of the film to peel or shift. Much like washing the windows too soon, the majority of professional installers will recommend that you leave the windows rolled up for at least 48 to 72 hours after the installation.
Even though car window tints are designed to block UV radiation, prolonged exposure to intense sunlight can still cause fading or weakening of the tint over time. Try to park your car in shaded areas, use sunshades, and apply UV protective products to the interior of your car’s windows. This will help to maintain the tense colour and will prevent it from peeling or cracking.
