Cracking NPAT Exam – Complete Guide

What is NMIMS NPAT?

NPAT {national test for programs after twelfth}, is a national entrance exam. The exams are conducted on a yearly basis organised by SVKMs NMIMS. The students who aspire to learn management give the exam. The exam offers different courses and is generally conducted in the second week of May. 

Exam pattern and syllabus for NPAT

There are 2 papers, and the question papers consist of 120 questions, and each question is for one mark. 

NPAT Exam pattern is different for both the papers on the basis of the candidates who opted engineering and non-engineering programmes.

Paper 1 is for the non – engineering which is applicable for all the candidates. Paper one is conducted for 100 minutes.

· Quantitative & numerical ability – 40 questions 

· Reasoning & general intelligence – 40 questions 

· Proficiency in the English language – 40 questions

This paper is to be given by the students who apply for the nonengineering programs like – B.pharm + MBA, etc. 

Paper 2 is for the engineering programs, which is only for the aspirants who are interested in getting into B.Des. The exam is for 2 hours.

· Physics – 30 questions 

· Chemistry – 30 questions 

· Maths – 30 questions 

· Logical Intelligence – 20 questions

· Language proficiency – 10 questions

Who are eligible? 

Note: the candidates who fail to complete or fulfil the eligibility criteria, their forms will be rejected.

· The aspirant has to get a 12th pass or else diploma in any of the streams.

· The aspirant can show their IB diploma only if it is certified by any known institute. Other IB holders are not eligible for the exam.

· The candidate has to score a minimum score of 50% is required. 

· The candidates should obtain 45% in their +2, and they can even opt for distance learning.

· It is important that you clear the examination in a single attempt. 

· The candidate has to submit a blueprint of AIU notification.

· The maximum age limit is 25 years.

· At the admission time, the candidates who do not have mark sheets and their forms are rejected. 

· If the aspirant has the result in percentile, the aggregate of the subjects are taken in radar. 

· Compartmentalized mark sheet won’t be considered, it should be a single mark sheet with all the marks of all the subjects 

Process for selection 

The NPAT exam depends on two basic factors for its selection procedure

1. It is important that the aspirant has to perform well in the entrance exam. 

2. The candidate has to also perform well in the interview.

3. Once they qualify these two exams, it is mandatory to show up at the counselling and take all the necessary documents with them.

NMINS NPAT mock test 

· There are many merits to solving the NPAT mock test. The aspirant will understand the structure and will give them confidence.

· They will learn time management and find their weaknesses.

· They can even be prepared for each section and divide the time. 

· Aspirants will prevent making errors in the main exam. 

So from what we gather the aspirants have to practise a lot from the NPAT mock tests and even sample papers. This will improve their analytical skills and their speed. They can even refer to some books like:
