Is It Good To Boil Water For Drinking?

Everyone knows that the boing water kills the germs in it. Boiling water has long been known as the best way to get contaminant-free water. But is it really safe to drink? Is it harmful to our health or not? These are the question which will be answered in this post.

  • Water has to be boiled for at least one minute
  • Boiling does make sure all bacteria are killed
  • Boiling can only remove bacteria and solids. Bacteria body remains in the water. Moreover, the boiling technique will not remove other harmful chemicals.
  • For some contaminants like sulfur and lead, boiling serves to focus lead rather than boiling it off.
  • Chlorine also remains in water because its boiling point is higher than water.

Boiling water makes it pure and safe to drink if it has some type of biological contamination. You can kill off bacteria and other harmful contaminants in a batch of water simply by boiling it. Other types of chemicals, such as lead and chlorine, are not so easily filtered out.
