Disney World is one of the USA’s dream vacation locations. At 43 square miles, it is also one of the largest!
When you travel to Disney World, you need travel tips to make the most of your family trip. Take in the sights, pick the best attractions, and explore Disney World to the fullest extent.
We’re here to help. Read on for your Disney World travel guide!

1. Disney World Contains Four Theme Parks
At Disney World, you can visit Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. You can buy a Park Hopper ticket that lets you jump between parks.
Magic Kingdom is perfect for a true Disney adventure. You have 10 rides (with more in development), classic Disney characters, and the Disney Enchantment experience.
Hollywood Studios is home to your favourite Disney blockbusters. Star Wars, Mickey and Minnie, Twilight Zone, Cars, Toy Story, they’re all here!
The Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT) features techy pavilions, a Future World area, and international cultural showcases.
Animal Kingdom is for nature lovers. Experience nature-themed rides, Disney safaris, and dinosaur lands.
2. Focus on Quality Not Quantity
We saw the size of Disney World earlier, and it’s nigh-impossible to see and do everything on one trip. Focus on what your priorities are and accept that you will have to skip certain things, or leave them till next time.
Disney Vacation Club (DVC) can help you with return visits. Use DVC shop resales to book your trips and see what you missed last time!
You could visit just one of the four theme parks and never see all of it. A day and night itinerary will help you stay relaxed and enjoy Disney World even more.
3. You Have Lots of Accommodation Options
Disney World has a tiered hotel system, varying in price, quality, and theme. You can choose from the Deluxe, Moderate, and Value options.
There are Disney-operated hotels, and these will offer you the best experience. There are hotels owned by third-party companies too, but Disney World hotels are perfect for a magical family holiday.
4. Disney World Transport Is Free
Getting around Disney World is easy, and its transit system has bus, boat, monorail, and Skyliner services. You can choose to walk within individual theme parks, but the only parks you can walk between Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Transport is free in Disney World, but Minnie Vans are the exception. These work like ride-hailing services in cities.
5. Disney World’s App Can Help You
The My Disney Experience app works like an old-school theme park guide, but it offers far greater functionality than a paper booklet. You can navigate using the map, and given the size of Disney World, this is essential!
That’s far from all the app does, though. You can also book dinner reservations, make Lightning Lane choices, see the character schedules, and plan your trip with Disney Genie.
6. You Need a Plan Before You Go
You should choose the time of your visit with care. Florida’s summer months are hot and humid, but you can visit at cooler times too. Bear in mind that Florida has a tropical climate, so rain is always possible!
Certain seasons align with calendar events like Christmas and Halloween. You can experience seasonal Disney themes at these times!
Explore the World of Disney
Disney World has plenty for adults, children, and anyone who loves entertainment. You will remember your visit forever, and you might plan your next one before you leave the Disney World gates!
