The world as we know it today has become really unpredictable, and different kinds of lifestyles are leading to pressure on just about every person, whether old or young. Relatively speaking, for people such as celebrities who earn a high amount of money, the stakes are pretty high. For a person to be able to tread on the best path towards fulfillment of life’s goals by getting rid of obstacles, consultation from a well-known astrologer is advisable.
Life is usually not a smooth sail for most. Individuals often encounter problems by virtue of the presence of negative qualities such as greed, ambition, anger, dishonesty, and others. In fact, you may be surprised to hear that these qualities are present since birth, but when the balance of these qualities is lost, it causes us to make mistakes. These qualities can be passed on from one generation to another, and the only way to get rid of their effects is through Pitra Dosh Nivaran.
How can pitra dosh be defined?
Pitra literally means “ancestor” and Dosh means “fault” in Sanskrit. A series of unfortunate experiences in a person’s life can be a result of mistakes by ancestors. Pitra dosh is said to be visible in the horoscope of the person when his/her ancestors have committed grave mistakes. The presence of this anomaly in the horoscope is likely to bring disturbances and hardships in the designated person’s life, often resulting in loss of wealth and mental imbalance.
Types of pitra dosh
Pitra dosh can be caused in any of the following three ways:
- Due to planetary positions– The positions of planets can be determined from a person’s horoscope. This plays a role on the Sun, which looks at the tenth house which reflects on Pitrus. The sun is able to control a person’s heart and thereby affect skin, progeny, honor, feelings, and more. If the Sun happens to be weak, this could result in poverty, rejection, dishonor, humiliation, and other bad situations.
- Due to ancestors– One of the most common ways this affects people is the bad karma done by their ancestors. It may also due to be untimely death which left behind several unfulfilled dreams.
- Due to a person’s actions– It could either be due to actions in the past life or in the present one. Since one does not have control over the past, care can only be taken in the present life, so that bad deeds are not carried into the next life.
Impact of pitra dosh in the horoscope
It has often been debated whether pitra dosh exists or not, and reputed astrologers have been able to establish its existence. People who do not have such knowledge often refuse to understand the link between the present life and life of one’s ancestors. This raises two pertinent questions, the answers of which are in favor of Vedic astrology:
If diseases can be inherited, why not karma? Allopathy has medications today for numerous illnesses, but did you know that astrology already has the answers to complicated ailment for many thousand years.
The following medical issues can only be inherited from ancestors, as there are hardly any ways of explaining their occurrence:
- Baldness
- Blood sugar
- Blood pressure
- Arthritis
Whatever is invisible does not exist– When habits can be transferred, so can karma to the soul. Now the soul is obviously not visible, but that that doesn’t mean it isn’t present. Whatever is not visible can definitely be difficult to control.
The person with pitra dosha in his or her horoscope could directly or indirectly be affected through problems faced by the family. He or she may constantly be falling sick from birth or when older, and could be prone to frequent accidental injuries. The person may face obstacles in his education, due to which job prospects could be hindered. In addition, there may even be several challenges in finding a good life partner. There could even be difficulties in the form of property disputes, conception problems, and others.
Remedies for Pitra Dosha
- A ‘Shraadh’ is the best and most effective way to pacify ancestors. It should be performed in the ‘Krishna Paksha’ of ‘Ashwini Month’, the day they died. They need to be worshipped before the deities, and couch grass, sesame, raw rice grains, flowers, and ‘Gangajal’ have to be offered. The ancestor’s favorite food must be given to the needy. If the person is unaware of the date of death, Shraadh should be done on the ‘Amavasya’ day in the ‘Ashwani’ month.
- Surya Namaskar and chanting of ‘Gayatri Mantra’ at sunrise helps strengthen the position of Sun in the affected person’s horoscope
- Water should be offered to the pitra(s) for 15 days after the death
Nivaran, used after pitra dosha, denotes getting rid of this problem. For such purposes, it is best to get in touch with an experienced astrologer.
